Due in court at 10am tomorrow, should I be bricking it? I'm half scared to be honest... mainly as I've never been to court or got in trouble as such..

Same old story, posted v5, bitched they didnt get it, take to court.

I've got a whole speech type thing printed out, using pyroforlife's thread and sickpups posts about it. Basically copypasta and edited to my information.

No one is coming with me, couldnt find anyone free that day...which sucks Thumbs Down

Anyone know what goes on exactly? Half of me is in the "Bring it on" mood but the other is shitting bricks Laughing

What I would do is cite Sickpup's winning case and put it to the magistrates that yours is no different. They love an easy way out when someone else has done all the thinking before.

Good luck anyway!

most likely.

sit there till 4pm.

dvla won't turn up or decide they can't be bothered.

you all go home

court forgets all about it

the end.

Or

you dont turn up

police kick your door in

courts do you for a grand fine and 6 weeks in clink for wasting courts time

Good idea, I will have a poke around BCF for sickpups thread. Leaving it late to print stuff out, but hey... work pays for the ink this way Laughing

Hi

Seriously. Do you think they wouldn't bother getting costs from you at any opportunity.

All the best

That is true I suppose.
Do you get a claim form if you "win" as such?

Remember kiddies they have to refute service which they can't for various reasons as detailed in my thread. Quoting the vehicle record is not enough.

If you are as lucky as me, you'll get a stunning blonde with epic breasts who will tell you 'at this time, we are going to let you off and withdraw'

What court are you at? I'm not at work until 4 tomorrow? If it's sittingbourne or maidstone I can probably come along for the lulz.

I'm not sure what you should expect but I was taken to court for a similar issue a few years ago...

Sold a car...
Car got loads of parking and speeding offences on it...
I kept getting letters from DVLA...
Told them that I'd posted the V5 off as expected...
They didn't believe me...
They took me to court...
I repeated, in court, that I had sent the V5 off (with my hand on a bible)...
They believed me...

My experience lead me to the conclusion that the DVLA are a bunch of God bothering time-wasters.

Things may have changed though.

You'll be fine Paddy, be cool and calm and practice what you are going to say tonight. Seeing as you may be kept hanging around for a while before your case is heard make sure you have something to eat and drink with you. Keep the old adrenaline up!

See you there after 9 bud Thumbs Up
