What a day Sad

Attended Lee Sayles funeral today along with 45 other bikes, some 2 up.
It was a sight i'll never forget as we arrived at his family home to be greeted by his father 'Gary'.
There were so many of us that i arranged a police escort for the cortege directly to the church.... Thumbs Up to Rotherham Traffic Unit.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up to NSR Kid for arranging and pulling us all together.
It was a very sobering day which i shall reflect upon for some time.

Just got back,

Was a great day, Thumbs Up to all those who attended.
I think we gave Lee a good send off.
Was also nice to meet so many other bikers who would give up their time for someone they didn't know personally, simply being a biker is enough.

It kicked into touch for many how important it is to be safe too.

Hope everyone got back ok,

Rick.

Really nice to meet some of you its just a shame about the circumstances.

Those who I didnt speak too I was on the blue ER-5.

It was a great send off for lee and Andy really did his friend proud.

It was nice to see his family so moved by everyones efforts to be there for their son.

Thumbs Up Hopefully we can meet again in better circumstances!

Well done guys.

There are a few bikers at work, and we got together in the canteen, and just sat there in silence for a couple of minutes, the manager is a biker too so he joined in. As we were sat there though, the rest of the people on lunch joined in. Was very touching.

Thumbs Up to the Traffic Police Thumbs Up

It sounds like everyone invlolved has done a great job, especially Andy and the local plod.

Personally, I can't think of a better send off for a biker.

I'm really sorry I couldnt attend. Was dragged into college to do work, on a holiday too! Nevermind though.

Glad there was so many people who attended, Thumbs Up to everyone who made an effort, especially Andy (NSR Kid) for arranging it all.

Rest in peace, Lee. Sad

Didn't know the fella but as someone said being a biker is enough, it made me very sad to hear about his death, but the fact that people who had never met him, where there at the end is very touching. His family must have been very emotional, as biker funeralsseem even sadder than most. This is the way I want to be sent off.
Everyone who attended the funeral, had a minutes silence or just stooped to think of Lee today, you should all be very proud, he would have been glad to have so many friends.
Lee, rest in peace.

I'm sat here, with tears in my eyes. It's amazing to see that people, who dont even know eachother, are willing to travel (in some cases a long way) to send off someone because they all share a passion. Its sobering, but in ways it gives me hope.

Nice to see such a big turnout. Thumbs Up

Well done to all that were able to attend.
I am sure a lot of appreciation was held for you all by the family concerned.

A good send off for the lad..and each and every one of you should feel proud that you took part.

Very moving.
