Hey guys, bit of a gay question but it would be really helpful for me.

Basicly Im looking for a Supermoto to buy, since I got some cash coming threw, I dont really know much about these bikes and the only ones I do know about seem to be pretty expensive 2nd hand.. or they dont look so pretty.. Very Happy

Anyway, can you list some makes and models of which you think are pretty good super motos? So I can look em up at Biketrader.

Thanks guys Smile

Proper 'supermotos' are mostly converted motorcross bikes.

If you want more of the 'commutermoto' variety (ie more reliable, heavier, slower) then it's going to depend a lot on what you want to do with it.

What's the intended use?

Oh and generally supermotos are expensive. If you want cheap, there are plenty of other styles out there.

ccms are good strong cheap bikes and very cheap to tune
look in link in my siggy at my ccm somthing like that 2000 modle your looking at about £1500
bit heavy for compition use but still great fun on the roads slow as standard restricted to 33bhp through the exhaust as standard but new race can takes it up to 47bhp
spend a couple of hundren on head work your looking over 50bhp
you can keep going right up to 75bhp same as the compition ccms
but that costs
sevice intervals are alot further apart than all the other motards too

mate 520's and 525's are nothing like an lc4, the lc4 is slow, heavy and yes REALLY vibey, the 520 is light, quick and has no where near the vibes, lc4 is a comuter not a quick motard Laughing as for servicing mine is no ore than any other DECENT motard around. servicing is more frequent but most motards only take around a litre of oil anyhows so its cheap.. Cool
