Hi all,

this may sound daft but its true, my mate has a Honda CR 250 and hes having a problem with it the bike, bikes ok when its cold and runs fine but after its been running and the engine is at a good running tempature when we stop for some food and he stops the bike when he trys to start the bad boy again it does not start it needs bumped it driving him mad and we dnt understand why it is doing this....

Kick and runs ok from cold.... does not kick and start when hot????

any ideas people?

any help would be great

You want to try it with a 500cc 4-stroke.

Its easy this one ! try the following in this order
The fuel is evaporating from the carb, make up some sort of heat shield that dissipates heat away from the float bowel, ie small bit of thick rubber or plastic .

Change the plug, make sure it is the correct one as per manufacturer reccomendations.

Still now working ? take off carb and check floats (correct height is eesential) . Clean out jets, Clean Air filter, use fresh new fuel and a good oil.

Check pick- up connection , may be loose or damaged .
