Okay, like the hundreds of people, im stepping from a sports bike (600) to a supermoto as soon as i get some bikes sold.
Ill still have my 600 but im wanting something as a toy, that has a lot of torque and a height controller instead of a throttle. Laughing

Im a pretty advanced rider, ive ridden many different types of bikes, including crossers ect.

Im just wondering what is going to be the best 'tard for me, ive been looking at a husqvarna, but hopefully someone will have some more of an idea what would suit.

can you give me any tips on what not to buy, im going to steer well clear of Dr's ect.

any tips, even for riding the bike and maintenance would be great.

many thanks, Steve.

Presume you're looking for a stupid-light proper supermoto?

If so, look at the KTM525EXC, Husaberg 501E (2002 on), also converted MX bikes; ie CRF450 with street wheels.

All will be quite a lot lighter than any road bike bar a 50 with a decent amount of power through the rev range.

Expect to do an oil change about once every three hours of supermoto use though for the serious ones.
