Personally, I love it, but it's in urgent needs of some aftermarket cans I think! I don't reckon much of the single-exhaust upgrade option, much prefering the double underseat option. Love the folding mirrors as well, that's the attention to detail Ducati are known for.

There's also a new Supermoto news channel:

I'm so glad they didn't call it a supermoto!

I don't know why people get so excited about Ducatis. I've ridden quite a few, and hated them all - heavy, ugly, lumpy, uncomfortable, don't corner well, stall, prone to brake fade etc.

I'm not going to hold my breath that this one will be any different Confused

Perhaps you're not riding them properly? I find none of the above, and I ride nothing but Ducatis Smile

Each to their own - I would never buy one, but I know they have a loyal following.

I've ridden a Monster 1000, Multistrada 1000 and a 748.

The Multistrada was so bad that after borrowing one to go to Cambridge, I seriously considered leaving it there and taking the bus home. And it looks like a mutated Dalek...

The 748 belonged to my (now former) boss and I took it around Cadwell. Arriving at the end of Park Straight, I tried to turn, and it didn't. So I braked harder, tried to turn, and it didn't... I ended up doing 20mph and just about made it around the bend. I went straight back to the paddock and returned it to its owner. Truely horrible.

...and when are they going to replace those dreadful dry clutches? A Ducati fan told me that the advantage of them is that they're easy to change. Thing is, if they were wet clutches they wouldn't wear out so quickly... Rolling Eyes

Sounds like the 748 wasn't setup right, or had shot tyres. I've ridden a 748R and loved it to bits.

All Ducati's have had wet clutches for the last few years. They need to, to meet euro noise regulations. You can still buy dry clutches as upgrades, but like you, I don't see the point in them.

This one had been set up by some chap called Slick Bass and (I'm told) was as close to perfect as is possible.

For those that don't know, Slick was Foggy's mechanic - so he knows a thing or two about Ducatis.
