my mate uses a WR250F almost daily on the road. I belive they need a service every 1k miles. Id get a DRZ400SM since its alot more road biased and you could get a minter for £3k.. ____________________ 04' DT125RE (run-a-bout) // 89' DT125R (rebuilt + supermoto conversion)

Competition-style 'bikes like the WR and my KTM 250 need a lot of maintenance. 8 hours is the service interval on my KTM.
They're not ideal for regular use on the roads - in fact the manual for mine states that prolonged on-road use should be avoided. There are also no cooling fans for the rads. so it's prone to overheating if stationary with the engine running for long.
