i have heard that there is something can be done to get rid of the decomprestion lever. so it is automatic like the newer ones. any pictures advise or links would be great.

it is nothing to do with the hot start, that is for starting the bike when the engine is hot. i want to do away with the decomprestion lever i have to use to satrt the bike all the time.

i have found out today that you can in fact remove the decomprestion lever, if you fit the cams out of the later model and time it all up it works. i got speeking to my local dealer who rides wr's himself.

are you talking 450 cams ?de-compressor works by centrifugal force acting on weights opening a valve, be interesting to see if it works.

It can be done.

It's nothing to do with the hotstart

all to do with replacing the cam for a later model.

go to www.smoto.co.uk and ask there, lots of people have done it and will help you fully with it.. look out for GLM on there as hes done it to his.

I did this with my yzf250 when it was having some engine work done to it so i assume it would still be possible on a wr. I was glad to get rid of it Thumbs Up
