Since the second *sorry, third* crash The fairing was slightly bent, so after getting some new bit's off here I have decided to put other finishing touches on , and I've also moved the number plate further up the mount, so it's right between the rear indicators as a posed to an inch or 3 down the mount. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Will do tomorrow, got the new sprocket today, and painted the rear wheel bright white so re-fitting tomorrow, then to start on the front wheel, hoping to have it all done by Sunday. Evo, sorry I couldn't reply to your text, out of credit again should be up & running sunday. will measure the carb tomorrow and post. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Well, been an eventful day.
Got the wheels finished off as best as I can with some white hammerite and a paint brush, then me and my dad got to work on the wiring loom(mainly him) which we thought was fecked, turns out nothing worked because the most important bulbs had blown, not too dodgy a wiring
Bulbs had blown because of a dodgy battery, still not sure what's wrong with it, but I'll get a replacement one with bulbs tomorrow or payday.
So, bike's still in bits, wheels sorted, wiring fine but in need of bulbs so tomorrow I can start to bolt it together. I so can't wait to get on and ragg it around for an hour or two even though it has been only a week of no use.
Evo, the outside of the carb(engine side) measure's 44.5mm on the most outside part of the metal hole on the outside of the carb where the petrol etc goes in the engine. No wonder you think your batteries fucked if your using cable ties to connect the terminals. You need the best contact you can on the battery. Usually they use small metal blocks with threads in them, they slot inside the battery terminal then a screw goes through the wires through the battery terminal into thread. Cable ties arent exactly a great conductor and also flex.
You need to get that sorted lol.

Well, wheels back on, fairing brace on and half tightened, can't do much for this fecking drizzle. wheels painted white but not too good although better than I expected for a brush and tin of white hammerite. electrics all sorted, even killswitch works so can test for backfiring later.
[Edit] Evo, I know about the terminals, they were complete when I got the battery, and are around somewhere but there's no point unscrewing time again, might as well bodge it for now, then screw it back up later when I find the screws and blocks. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. As it happens, I noticed yesterday the exhaust gasket is qickly dis-appearing and the down pipe has two pinholes in due corrosion, tried exhaust bandage and it simply melts off, am I going to have to look for a new micron can/system? (I so hope not)
Evo, just found https://i9.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/af/51/99e2_1.JPG these on ebay dead cheap(due to seller typo) so I'll try them first... ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies.
