hi!

I've got piaggio zip 4t 2006 and I found strange bolt on my exhaust.
What is it? Is it some kind of restriction?

its not a restriction!
i cant remember what that is for as i had one on my piaggio NRG 125cc that i built myself and was told what it was for. this was some 5yrs ago mind.
someone will be along later to tell you what it is/does, but its deffo not a restriction.

I derestricted vario but it still moves max 60km/h(37mph)

If im honest bud you wont get much more than 37mph out of a 50cc 4t. Just enjoy it while your stuck on a 50. Thumbs Up

It doesn't have any more restrictions?
It don't need to be much faster, I would like to have some better acceleration, better power going up hills

If you have taken the washer out of the variator,de restricted the exhaust then im pretty sure the bike is pretty much fully de restricted. Im not 110% sure though as i dont know much about 4t's,only 2t's really. But,maybe you could try adjusting the weights of the rollers slightly if you want better acceleration,as maybe the ones you have in are a tad heavy. Cant hurt to check anyway. Good luck. Thumbs Up

There wont be if its 4 stroke.
Are you 100% sure that your bike is 4 stroke ? As I thought the zips were 2 stroke.

small 4 strokes are not restricted, they do not make enough power to need restricting.

yep sorry mate your shit outa luck.
as others have said, changing the rollers, and removing the variator washer is the only thing you can do,
you wont get any more power, but i'll pick up a bit quicker.

Upjet carb if not done by selling dealer already as most do as they run better with it even std... Laughing

Std is 75 go upto 78.

There is no restriction on the exhaust.

Remove washer from variator.

Cut small notch in cdi to remove electronic restrictor. (google it or pm me and ill find the piccy Wink )

Yep, the new Zip's are 4-stroke.

I believe 4-strokes aren't really restricted, as being a 4t they don't make enough power to bother in the first place.

hi, i'm new here and i'm also trying to de-restrict the same t4 bike. have you actually tried the cut cdi processes? Shocked
i would love to hear more about it.
i cant find much on it "googling" Sad

4 stroke 50cc's are not restricted.

How many times do people need to tell you. They are shit, and slow. deal with it, And get a bigger bike when you are old enough.

Firstly remove the spacer from between the front pulley halves.
Secondly follow the pictures below
And finally fit a 78 main Jet if you like
