ok well i firstly added this topic to the wrong section so could a mod plz remove it from the work shop section thanks alot ok firstly i own a honda cbr250cc MC19 and it was in pristine condition when i first set my eyes on it my freind had bought it as a cheap run about it looked like this https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/2006_08_03_bikepics-647534-800.jpg

and then he high sided it at harstside and looked like this
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/hartsidelakes015on2.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/PICT0010-2.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/hartsidelakes003yv4.jpg

so i swaped it to him for my cagiva mito 125cc on a W reg which had some electrical issues

so it looked like this when i recived it
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/PICT0005-1.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/PICT0009-1.jpg

so first thing i did was to sand the pipes down and repaint them looking a little bit better
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0104.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0107.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0106.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0158.jpg
and i was looking for some new lowers as the old ones where fcuked but i did not realise how rare and difficult this bike was for spare parts for 4/5 months down the line a set of farings came up on ebay from china so i snatched them so the project began! so while the farings where in transit to me i set on getting some stuff powder coated

https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0770.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0771.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0772.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0774.jpg

so 3 weeks from ordering my farings they came my big box from china finally arravied !!!!
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0790.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0789.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0791.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0792.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0795.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0796.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0798.jpg

so very happy i was with all of the service and i would recomend the chinky farings as they where very good for the money i paid only a few holes needed to be drilled so began the fit ment

https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0812.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0811.jpg

ok so while doing all of this did decided i did not like the front brake it was very dated and was crap baisically so did a little research and found some brackets that could fit was a 50/50 chance they would fit mind so i needed some brackets made up so had them made up and them bought some gsxr 4 potters Razz
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/calipers.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0781.jpg
note no one has done this mod to the cbr 250 that i know of so im pleased with it very much

from this https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/2005_05_07_bikepics-348683-full.jpg

to this https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0802.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0803.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/DSCF0808.jpg
now i am jus waiting for a brembo master cylinder from s duke or some thing i like the look of the brakes are sooooooo much better now lol

so now all the farings where on i had to get the tank sprayed
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0129.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0128.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/rears.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0130.jpg

so back from the painters it looks miss matched only in the pics in life it looks ok lol because apparently the chinise dont have paint codes so was just a colour match by eye
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0132.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0133.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0140.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0135.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0134.jpg

so i then got round to fitting the powder coated parts
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0150.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0149.jpg
and then bought some carbon mirrows and yoke protector and i wonted a tinted screen but there wasnt any any where so i took a chance with a cbr600f and suprise it was to big so go the dremel out and began hacking away it was to big in every sense but i was determend to fit it and i did and made a very good job of it if i do say so my self
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0152.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0151.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0153.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0156.jpg
https://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h163/jonnyzxr/AUT_0157.jpg

oh by the way im still saving to get the wheels powder coated there next on the list lol and i found a cdi from china that takes out the rev limiter to now it goes over 20,000rpm ill post some vids soon if no one has hurd the cbr 250 with no baffles lol its really loud if im correct this is the highest reving production bike to date correct me if im wrong

Nice post Thumbs Up

I like what you've done with it.

Wouldn't a CBR4 screen have been easier to make fit though?

Powdercoated bits look good, wheels will make the difference too.

What was the name of the chinky seller you got the fairings off?

Love your write up I used to have a CBR250 but it was the MC22 version and I know what you mean by how rare the parts are to find.

How much did your fairings set you back?

Awesome transformation, but, i would get that tank sorted, the Chinese have paitn codes, of course they do!

Its a poor colour match, even for one by eye. So i'd ask him to re-do it.

Good job on everything though.
