I am sitting here on a Sunday evening watching the very first episode of 'Allo 'Allo, that I have watched over and over again, but still laugh at almost every single one of the jokes.

Which got me thinking (and yes there probably has been a similar thread on this) there have been some classic comedy programs over the years, but at the moment I have found it hard to find a series that I love. I mean a few years back 'My Family' was great, but it soon got repetitive and without Nick, almost pointless. Sad And I have to admit I am slightly addicted to Scrubs ... but what about the older classics? or the new ones?

I mean think of, Red Dwarf, Britas' Empire, 'Allo 'Allo, Dad's Army, Blackadder and the list goes on.... So what are your favorite programs then? Razz

Only Fools and Horses.

Porridge.

Open all hours.

Steptoe and Son.

Alf Garnett.

On the buses.

These are some I can think of, all of them I can watch more than once and still enjoy them.

They don't make them like they used to.

I'm only 22 , sound old here! but the old ones are so much funnier than the latest stuff..

Allo Allo, Some Mothers Do Av Em, Red Dwarf etc...

the one with the bloke from red dwarf where he ran a leisure center? not sure what it was called but that was funny.

Key word being was, I find I can still watch bottom and laugh, the young ones sadly isn't a timeless classic.

Drop The Dead Donkey was good. Doesn't really work as well when repeated.

Dead Like Me is a fairly recent and slightly twisted show.

All the best

Heh...

'Life is like a butterfly, da da dee da dee da da da...'

I always liked The Good Life and To the Manor Born... Understated humour.

Never watched only fools or porridge... For comedy, you now have River City, THAT is hilarious. The accents alone; "Rocheen, ROCHEEN!!" Some weird Aberdonian accent... Laughing

I now want to do some serious Red Dwaf-athons with my entire collection of Red Dwarf videos. All I need is too much time on my hands and a video player....

Not a huge fan of old comedies, though Red Dwarf I find funny as I've only seen very few of them. Only fools and horses is on so much you can't really avoid it (even on planes) and seen them so many times it's getting a bit old now.

Blackadder I used to be made to watch during History at school (lazy teacher?) and consequently never found it that funny, just a chore.

Bottom I used to watch as a kid, made me laugh and still does when I rarely see it, gave me a realistic insight into Wolverhampton Laughing
