Picked her up today... Plan is to not do much for the next month except ride then do a bit of tidying up over the winter, then see what happens next year with keeping her of getting something newer (I've only just passed my test)

What do you think?

I think it's absolutely awful. Neutral

Not a fan of the RF's styling, but as a 1st bike Thumbs Up

Ups and downs then.... I think the RF600 looks nicer than the CBR600 of the same date (1993)

Did see this one on ebay in black with gold wheels, looks very nice but my one didn't cost anywhere near that price:

and yes I know people will be flicking through pics... but please don't, after all if we all had the same tastes it be a boring world Wink

Heretics how dare you insult the tank that is the rf600r.

I loved mine cause it took all the abuse you could throw at it. It handles pretty damn good for its weight. It sounds good stock but I think it sounds so bad it sounds good.

Damn I miss mine.

At first it was shocking going from a 2005 GSXR 600 to a 96 rf600r. My only real complaint was the seating posistion I could flat foot both sides and my knees where bent. But you still had to stretch to the controls.

It wheelied well to Mr. Green mind the rubber pegs if they get wet and you wheelie you will fall off the back Laughing

They can hit a car head on and still be ridden home Laughing Wink

Make sure the fuel lines have been replaced the stock ones right about now will be leaking. The cam chain may also make a hell of a load of noise.

And it gets sh!tty mpg Wink

Also the rf900r is fast as fook it will beat a blade of the same year. Same as the 600 will beat a ceeber of the same year. Laughing

People could always tell it was me at night thanks to the distinctive rear light, its huge. It has some really bad 80's Ferrari styling the vents on the side and the rear light. Apart from that its cool.

My tank.

List of stupid things I done on it:

Countless wheelies and stoppies.

Ran into the back of a mate and knocked us both off, came out undamaged.

Slipped off the back doing wheelies, undamaged skitched it off road.

Ramped it off just about everything, undamaged but the rear shock was never the same.

Doing a burn out and the front slid and I dropped it on its side, fairings scratched slightly.

Doing stoppies and the left clip on came loose Laughing

Sliding the rear end out for laughs with the rear brake.

Back fires, the rf600r is pro at them loud as gunshots to. Make them scream Laughing

Got hit by a car head on and managed to ride her home, I think the front forks where knocked out alignment but she still rides.

I still have and I'm thinking on street fightering her cause I love the big fat painted frame. The engine is a GSXR one just down geared so may find a gix engine for her.

And many many more. Fun bike, good times.

Nice bike Thumbs Up

I don't understand why everyone thinks RF's look so bad? I think they look cool and I'm considering an RF900 as my next bike.
