Hello everyone! So i got this bike this February, but couldn't ride it until August (My 16th). I originally wanted a black one, but i got this in great condition at only £360 (RRP £1000 new) so went for this one.

I stripped it down, completely resprayed it, upgraded the engine to 88cc, new cam, air filter, carb, new chain and sprockets, few little things like indicators, plates, and front lights, and loads of other stuff i cant remember.

Here's how it all started anyway:

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v642/rainerhind/madass_before2.jpg

And after reassembly, with new exhaust and air filter Very Happy

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v642/rainerhind/30082007099.jpg

Then i got bored of the look of the exhaust and the huge mount arm, so repositioned to here (All finished Very Happy):

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v642/rainerhind/02102007166.jpg

And at night with an LED accent kit (old exhaust):

Its a four-stroke, so with new engine and sports exhaust it sounds like the shi*. Sounds much meatier than a lot of the big bikes at my college.

What you all think?

And hello to everyone seeing as i'm new Very Happy

Any ped guys in the North East (York)?

And for anyone wondering it does 54 Smile

IT probably does, I don't... haha. I think it definately would do if i put the old sprockets on. I've got top end sprockets so i'm tempted to whack the old ones on...

Cheers guys Very Happy

Great looking bikes, those MadAsses!

Nice to see you've gone for a black colour scheme too, they look best in black, and I'm not surprised you've gone for an 88cc kit too as a 50cc four stroke might be a bit tardy.

Watch your licence though if you're 16 and riding more than 50cc...

Thumbs Up For a great looking bike though! Best looking 'peds around alongside the Honda Zoomer

Also looking at it for a bit longer I'm loving the details, you've done a really thorough job on that, it's great. The exhaust is fab Very Happy

Razz Thumbs Up

Often wondered what they rode like, a motorised BMX or a slow moped? Shame they come as 50cc stock, a 125 or 250 would be cool.

I found OORacing quite helpful and reasonable priced, and yep it does sound quite rumbly and meaty for a small cc engine.

Is the under slung exhaust just a cut down of the OORacing one, or a new system?

They do a 125 and apparently there are a fair number of off-the-shelf tuning bits for it.

I thought that this was pie in the sky or only made in small numbers? Then again, its only the same engine as the one in my Monkey, so a 125 should easily fit the frame.

Has been a while since I last looked I must admit Laughing

All I know is that they made it in an unflattering yellow and it had a nice chrome exhaust. And did about 55mph.

I think that if it was a limited run it might have been something to do with Sachs going into liquidation a short while back... so unless they've reappeared there may only be small numbers of them about.

Cheers everyone!

125s are about, just the same really, but with rear hydraulic brake, chrome exhaust etc. You can get 140cc kits for them aswell, or just bolt one onto a 50 model.

The 125 was a proto, then they went bust so don't look to great on that front Very Happy

Cheers everyone Very Happy Thumbs Up

Oh and daddy, its just the same OOR pipe but cut down at the bottom Smile

They are/were, its a 500 Enfield engine Shocked

Really do like the Sachs, I'd definitely have a 125 model.

I hope they take off a bit more, they seem a bit gimmicky (which imo they aren't) but its good to see something 50cc that's not a scooter and not a race rep.

Wey, I had one of them. I see you got rid of the old candle lights that it came with? I also didn't stick with the standard engine, I went for an X-sport 110cc lump, easy and cheap though a well built 88cc would be way better, just more money. I'm sure your familiar with all the monkey bike websites by now. I kept the original exhuast but gutted and it sounded pretty cool for a 16 year olds bike.
