Can anyone suggest a bike for me?
I am after a 2-stroke supermoto or enduro, do they do restrictor kits for these bikes and would the insurance be huge?

Are 250's or 300's any good for the road? im after a bike with good acceleration rather then being able to go over 100mph.

Iv had a look at ktm's like the exc and they look really nice, having to do a top end every couple of thousand miles would not be a problem, how long would these engines last on the road?

Also if i decided to save my money for now and get a new bike instead of doing my test, what would be the chances of a ktm 125 exc on L plates, would i have to shove a potatoe in the exhaust and stick it on a dyno to prove its 14.6 bhp and not over the power to weight ratio?

Unlikely.

From what I've heard 2 strokes dont like being restricted.

Why not a 4 stroke?
