Hi all.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any off road courses/tracks in the Stoke on Trent/North Staffordshire area or thereabouts?

I would like to buy a trail/off road bike which I can ride to a track/course and then have some fun off road for mostly winter use when my road bike is off the road. I don't want to get into competitive motorcross. Which bike would you suggest might be most suited for this? I don't want to buy a trailer to carry the bike to any off road tracks so the bike must be road legal.

I have a full UK bike licence.

I'm not really sure about green laning as although I used to do some trail riding about 20 years ago I've been out of the off road scene since then. I don't really want to spend too much time looking at OS maps for tracks which I can off road on.

Sorry if I sound a bit vague but as I say I've been out of off road biking for quite a while.

Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like you want a "Hare and Hounds"event ,all road legal on private course ,loads of bikes out there to do this, 4 stroke and 2 stroke probably £1000 would get you something to have a go on,easier to go green laning if you know someone to show you the routes as it aint just round an round like a hamster..............dont even ask been let down too many times Neutral
