im looking to insure this but none of the insurance companies seem to have it on there site, im 17 with a full liscence and looking to insure fire an theft: any1 any ideas on how much it will cost in england with a dr 350 1998 costing about £500 and a 250 exc-f costing about £600

As G rightly says ,yours will not be the same as anyone elses ,you have to get quotes i have a CRF230 its £48 TPFT Thumbs Up Laughing at 17 to be honest your gonna pay for a few years yet,when your an old bugger they know you cant pop a wheelie any more Embarassed

576 per year?? still a bit out my price range... can get the dr350 insure 4 tht easily :S

erm any1 have any ideas at all at a nice bike thts cheap to insure at 17 on a 33bhp liscense.. yea i no this has been done thousands of times but still cant find anything =/

Yeah ...buy my vfr400 and restrict it £700 is piss cheap ,MOT till next Aug needs nothing but Tax ,starts and runs superb,totally standard then spend the savings on insurance,buy it before tommorow and ill wrap it too Laughing Laughing

The dr350 is old. It may be more powerful but the CCM will be far more of a theft hazard and is worth more and will be a larger claim if it is nicked.

Both are good bikes,XR probably more suited to a novice as nice easy power delivery and bullet proof engine,CRM can be wild when valve hits in,but same size and approx weight of XR so no problem if you are tall enough,you MUST get a bike that you can touch both feet down off road ,you will be far more confident ,alot of bikes are too tall and its just a question of when not if you come off Sad
