So i bought a pair of these O'Niel Element boots
they cost me £75, they look good and fit great but one question.

They are like moon boots, very stiff, not like track boots, i havent tried them on the bike yet as its thrown a radiator, anyway how the hell am i supposed to change gear !!

You change gear in the normal way. Razz

They're bulky and stiff but you'll get used to them after riding in them for a bit. Thumbs Up

I got some O'Neal boots off ebay for £40. And they are old Skool leather ones with steel toe guards! Cool

They are a bit muddy now though...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I rode with my motox boots for the first time last week.
Got used to them by mid-day.

You dont change gear with a simple flick of your foot/toes ..... you have to physically lift your foot to notch in a gear.
Well! you do on my old bike anyway Smile

Still wont stop you walking about like herman munster though Smile

i prefer army boots for offroading, as they have a knobbly sole, whereas motoX boots are smooth.

This can be useful when its necessary to man handle the bike around.

If you come off in steel toe capped boots and your foot goes forward (as in bends at the toes as much as it can) the steel part will slice your toes off Rolling Eyes Wouldn't wear them for biking tbh Thumbs Up

They are not steel toe-capped in the sense of a steel cup inside the toe area (ie: like the old skool work boots).
They have steel toe guards (which cover the front of the sole and a small part of the toe) that simply deflect rocks and provide some protection when scrabbling around in the shite.

They wont cut your toes off.
