Hi all

I am looking for ideas for a off road bike. I used to ride a Tm125 and occasionally went on a Honda 250 (I think it was, it was years ago now) and now I am looking for ideas to get one, maybe in the near future. Anyone have any ideas please? Oh and not to expensive unfortunately.

look at a couple of recent posts on here. The DR350, XR250 can be quite cheap if you have a look on ebay...

I have a post up at moment (DR350....)

A good start would be explaining what you are going to do with it.

For instance if you are looking for a bike you will use for commuting 30 miles a day with a bit of light green laning every other month you would get a vastly different answer to if you are hoping to win the Weston Supermare Beach race on it, say.

Wont be used for commuting, purely used for off roading.

I think what G's trying to say is there's a bit more to it than just "off-roading", for example are you looking at taking it green laning or are you looking at messing around at motocross tracks etc..?

As the choice of bike would be influenced by what your going to use it for.

I've got a Yamaha XT225, good trail riding bike, but no way would it be much use at a motocross track.

Are they? I'd expect an RM to blow up before a KTM EXC, never mind a KTM LC4 based bike.
