there is sv manuals on the bottom of that page,
you have a speedo sensor with 3 wires, any one of them could be damaged, or the sensor itself

The SV-650 uses a sensor that sits on the axle of the front wheel
there should be a wire coming up, Orange/red= Vsupply, Black/white= ground, Pink= signal

I had the same problem. Look at the front wheel, where the bolt sits right in the middle that black round thing (Good use of words here Rolling Eyes ) is the sensor.
Go good SV650 forum, (cant member off top of my head) and ask in the wanted section for the speedo sensor. I got one cost £20 Thumbs Up

if its a curvy sv mate the rotor inside the speedo sensor is broke-go to robinsons foundery website and order a new one-part number-34983-21E00-delivery is very quick -just take your time refitting it or it'll break again.

ive got a problem. i have gone out to the bike and where the forks meet the wheel and the axel piece goes through holding the wheel on there is a hole all the way through so you can see through the center of the axel. there is no wires there at all for a speedo.

the bike has been modified and has got gsxr front forks on but i am not sure what model they are from.

what do i do now ?

Are you sure the wire is not tucked away? IIRC it was a bit of a struggle to get mine sorted, with the wires ect.
Maybe he didnt have a speedo? In that case the wire would start just under the fuel tank. Look there to see if there is a connector type thingy which could be attached to something else.

so you have gsxr forks, why didnt you say that at the beginning, Rolling Eyes
you will have to buy a magnetic pick up, (like what you use on door sensors for alarm systems) but for automotive use, and get 4 small magnets and mount them to the wheel/disc, where the sensor can pick them up and then wire it back to the clocks
https://www.magsensors.com/vss.html you need a hall effect or reed that sends 4 pulses back to the clocks.
basically any reed type switch should work

I Gots me an '07 SV, if you havent seen the thread about me fucking it up, well, i fucked it up.

I managed to acquire some '03 forks, but is there a difference between the size of the speedo, or the forks or something because it wont go back right, help!

As for nsr-rory, I was planning on fitting some gixxer forks but was told it was more trouble than its worth, but it is possible to get it to work.
