Are these any good?

I have the chance at one for quite cheap, taxed and tested 1999.

Not too many miles and this is the best pic I have.

He said this.......

honda xl125 (clone) 1999 with private plate t&t new chain, batt, halogen headlamp and fitted genuine HONDA CG125 BULLET PROOF ENGINE. owned by me for 6years but only done 200 miles in that time (i ride lambrettas) bike is red/black does 150mpg and is reliable.

But I know nothing about these bikes at all. Does anyone else?

I know the 150MPG is bollocks obviously.

I know these aint gonna be the best choice, but my budget is very low Rolling Eyes as usual, all I want is a road legal 125, nothing above that and it will get a bit of road use and a bit of green laning thrown in. Its a bit of swap for my bike when I fix it.

I really am not looking to buy anything else at all I am just after information if anyone has any.

Cheers in advance

Andy

Righty dokey, cheers for that.

I knew they would be a bit ropey, but I have heard of good experiences from chinese 125 cruisers so I wondered if it was worth a punt.

On a similar note, anyone know of a 125 crosser that isnt a bag of poo, road legal as a swap for my GPZ500 when fixed which should be this week.

Remember that ALL 125's have the learner premium attached to them, plus you get young sellers wankering on about powerbands and how they have done 90mph on it. Rolling Eyes

Broaden your horizons, look at ALL road legal crosser types regardless of cc.

I'd start with old Hondas, myself.
