Planning to go to the above on 10th May. There's not much information about, but it's supposed to have a reasonable range of different surfaces/conditions, etc.
Unlikely to be space in my van unfortunately, but I'm sure if a few southerners (or where-ever) are interested, a van could be hired for the day or something.

Will try and get some more details. Shouldn't cost too much.
As ever, all welcome.
If you want to give off-roading a go, might be able to arrange use of a bike to have a play about on for a bit. I believe they have some 'beginner loops' etc so you don't get David Knight using you as an extra obstacle!

When you say 'unlikely to be space' do you mean 'Unlikely to be space because MarJay and Bendy's bikes will be in the way, the pair of freeloading vanhogs!'?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I'm sure it says no bikes over 250cc on the link, because of safety and enviromental issues?
Confused

That's no quads over 250cc I believe Smile ... ie they don't mind kids have a play about on small quads, but they don't want 150hp turbo Banshees ripping up the track and chucking it in the next field Smile.

Ok, some details:
Is on from 10-2. £20 entry for the main track.
3 mile track, but will take a while to do it, so expect a fair bit of different and twisty stuff, I presume.

Must have reasonable exhausts - no silly-loud ones, road legal for 4 strokes, I reckon.

I'll probably have a van-space from Reading if anyone does want to come who can't get their bike there.

If there's van space for my bike then i'd love to do it but no worries if there's not Smile.

Have a look at the link. It happens twice a month or so.

Obviously you don't really *need* your licence, you just need to be able to get your bike there.

Why would you want to ride down - if you've got half-decent tyres on for the off-roading, then the on-road will be terrible.

This is the reason that I did my car test - so that I could get more-fun bikes to places that I can ride them with a lot less hassle Smile.

Oh and may be able to DJR, you'd have to be at mine for 8am at the latest. Will let you know later today or tomorrow.

Put some decent effort in over 4 hours and I suspect you'll be quite glad of a car to relax in.

DJR; there's van space for your bike, but not for you, I'm afraid, as my van only sits 3. If you did want to come, you'd have to have your bike at mine for 8, but not sure it's worth it really.

Thanks for the offer but i think i'll spend tomorrow mot'ing the bandit and hopefully talk joe e.t.c into going greenlaning on sunday. Hopefully renting a garage and buying a trailer soon anyways.

Was quite fun. Despite it having been sunny for a while, was still very muddy there! The track wasn't that amazing as far as variety of terrain goes, but did have a few interesting bits.

Probably best avoided by 'beginners' though, as there's lots of bits it's easy to get stuck and in general the sufarce is fairly slippy.
I definitely wasn't feeling too happy to start with, but stuck with it and got the pace up a bit, though was still one of the slowest people there - though that doesn't bother me.

Road legal cans wasn't such a good thing because as I confirmed, my Husaberg definitely /doesn't/ like the road legal can and was a complete pig to start.

A good day out, but probably better to try somewhere else if you're a bit more cautious.

Probably will at some point. But no on the Hussy with that exhaust unless I change the jetting, however.

Might have a look at 'enduroland' sometime.
