Buy a shagged motor off ebay. Even the ones listed as being good on ebay are probably fucked so you might aswell save yourself the stress and buy one you know is fucked and budget for a rebuild |

The motor's are highly desirable as many people want them for specials. The bloke who I bought it from only lives around the corner from me and races Motorcross and took the engine off this for his Cr500Af project.
As such they're difficult to come by and expensive when they're about, I might be getting one soonish though. If not, I'll just break it for spares and will could make a tidy profit from that.
But if I buy a motor for it I'll have to budget around ~£200 extra on the motor for the parts to fully rebuild it.
I paid a good price for it (you know me ), considering I could prolly sell the shock alone for ~£150 as its an ohlins and the bike is in very good condition (near new tyres, new rear sprocket, new chain runner pro taper bars, brand new seat etc).
My mate also bought this 1989 Cr250, its road registered on a Q plate and the previous owner said it'll need a new clutch basket and clutch plates but f**k knows really as we haven't stripped the motor yet. Looking up the exhaust port the piston and rings look brand new. So Sanchez I'll get in contact with you if we need any 250 parts.
