Hey, heres my baby!

I know most of you lot wont see a point in a sports 4 stroke 125, but for what i use it for its perfect, looks good, costs nothing to run and nothing every breaks on it.. touch wood!

Do you find the suspension to be a bit hard?

I sat on one at the rear end barely moved at all, and I'm 11 stone so hardly a stick.

Aren't they a german bike. Think I saw a mag advert with a few of their bikes. Looks a lot better than the CBR125 which is a four stroke I believe.

But for 125 four strokers it has to be the yamaha SR125 I did my CBT on! Shocked lol

Yeah it's just a touch on the hard side, toolkit comes with a C spanner so wasn't to much of a trouble to alter a little, still maybe a touch hard.
Not really good for short riders, i.e. less than 6 foot as it doesn't compress that much, but i'm sure it will with some further adjusting it would be ok.

For the roads i ride on its set up perfectly handles really well in just about all circumstances.

Yeah there a German manufacture, although the engine is a suzuki one (an FX125 i believe).
It's been rock solid since i've had it only problem i have had was a blown parking light bulb!

The engine i so much smoother than the cg powered chinese thing i did my test on, and it revs very quickly it does give 2 stroke 125's a run for there money to about 40-50, mainly because of the torque it produces is relatively high. Tops out around 85mph without completely revving its nuts off, but slightly in the red! Razz

Sounds like a challenge to me.

What you you like broken? Gearbox? Clutch? Chain? Wheel bearings? Forks? Twisted Evil

I like the look of the Sachs...

Very Doocati inspired, if I do say so. Maybe if Ducati made 125 sports then that's how it would look???

Aren't they a bit pricey for a 125 though??? I heard thy're just under 4000!!! Maybe that ain't true.

You'll wish you just kept the money for the SV, I know I wouldn't have bought my NSR if I had another chance. Too much money for what you get (performance wise).

I preferred them when the used a TZR125 engine. Underseat pipe looks good, they would probably sell more if they were still 2 stroke.

I don't know about that. As a 2-stroke there didn't sell that many, maybe down to it not looking as good and also publiCity, but the amount imported in to the country had to be doubled because the demand out stripped supply.

At the time i only had a provisional and didn't want to carry on a 2 stroke 50 as it's wet even full power! My mother had a lot to do with what i brought due to her not wanting my on bikes so i couldn't get a 125 to start and would definitely not be able to of got anything bigger.(Though thats all changed with me taking her out on it and showing her what it's like and what biking is all about and shes doing her CBT for mothers day!! Very Happy )

I liked the look and i due to distance work i do to uni a 2 stroke wasn't really a safe option in the long run.

In comparison to a 2-stroke, what sort of power output are we talking about then? At the wheel not the crank.

Did you buy from new Confused.

For that price you could have bought 2 or 3 decent second hand 2 strokes.

Anyway, if you enjoy it and you got the money, then good for you I suppose Smile.

It's 15bhp at the crank, so i would guess 12-13 would be aobut right at the rear.

I think if i had passed my test the first time i did it would of gone straight on to an sv then, but it was not to be.

Its got to be the best handling bike ive ridden, although i havent ridden loads of bikes, but i have ridden a race set up Aprilia rs250 and i would still say its better, i think the ground clearance is a bit better than the rs very hard to get the pegs down with out crashing.

Hey,

Is it possible to de-restrict the Sachs! I am thinking of getting one now but wondering if it is de-restrictable??? Also how does it sound for a 125???

Thanks
Mark
