Well most two smokes tend to be restricted through the exhaust.
People with two strokes usually buy a "racing exhaust".
But it could be restricted in other ways to..
Rev limiter.
Washer on the variator...
Many ways, you will need to find out.

Also it's not as easy as just buying the racing exhaust, you will then need to adjust fuelling/air mixture and maybe rollers.

But if it is restricted some other way, it just a pointless exercise.

if you want your bike to have more accelleration, buy lighter rollers. but be warned it will decrece the top speed of the bike. not sure of the washer unless you post a pic.

some require cutting the cdi block in a certain place and depth to break the circuit that restricts the rpm limit

This was for my piaggio zip 4t though

You need someone with specific info for that.

The CDI unit is usually located at the other end of the spark plug HT lead.

Mate, don't bother cutting it up until you know exactly where to cut into the block

How mechanically minded are you? Do take this the safe way, you could end up with a dead bike if all goes wrong Exclamation

starting with the basics would be to remove the washer between the pulley and variator, thats an easy job.

Next is to remove the washer in the exhaust or fit a racing exhaust.

Then last is the CDI, IF it is restricted, not all CDI are restricted.

What have you done so far? I'm quite happily to go through the basics. Bear in mind I have no speicfic info but peds are generally restricted this way

Garages can do it, but only if they are happy and know what and how and where are the restrictions?

So really to all forums member, who has this bike and what was done?

its got a racing exhaust fitted but im not sure about the bolt in the variator... and it basically reaches an amount of revs and a red light comes on and i cannot exceed that amount of revs even though its capable of approx. another 8000 rpm

on a lot of moped sites you can buy replacement cdi units which have no rev limiters installed. however, i'm unable to find one for my moped, i can find new cdi units but all of them have rev limiters installed??
