Just wanted to know what the black box is coming off the manifold, i thought it might be one of them boost chamber things, but i dont really know.

from what i can see theres 2 extra pipes coming from the manifold, an oil pipe and a petrol pipe (and yes im sure, its not the ones going to the carb)

they do on the dt... & seems to make a difference.
take it off & see what i mean,

My TDR had one. It's a YEIS (Yamaha Energy Induction System) - posh name for a boost bottle.
