the inductors were wired in to the head light parking lamp so when you turned the lights on the inductors would come on at 6v (dim light) the bike had spent some years in the USA so l think this was done to comply with some states law were you need cruising lights on a bike (like harleys have).

Yup - same with my BROS.

I just took the third wire out of the front indicators and it's all fine again.
