Which dream would that be, Mr Goose? The one where you have a CBR that works properly? Wink Razz

Strangely enough, your expensive tartyily shod cbr has failed to convince me.

If I'm having a 'race replica' paint job I at least expect space to stick some race numbers Smile.

Actually, that shouldn't be all that expensive. If it's still a road bike, £3,500 or so. Track bike, more like £2000. Smile Non-standard paint jobs rarely increase the value of a bike, and the seat unit could be easily picked up on ebay.

Still got the OEM rear sprocket, no fancy pegs, no braided hoses, standard discs...

Get a sticker set made up, buy a tail fairing off ebay - wouldn't cost much at all if you were so inclined. Just so happens, I'm not so inclined. Smile

Laughing Ok, Ok you win Bendy... Wink

I also forgot you have the same bike. Doh! , so you would know quite a bit.

Sure you are not interested in the rear subframe plastics for yours? Makes the bike look tastey.

Seeing that bike with the rear on it, makes me want one for my next bike, (must be a 600). That or a gsx-r 600. Not that my bikes bad or anything.

*Sigh*, i wish i had some £££...

Btw, was that bike the "F" or is it the Cbr600 sport?

I guess if I trashed the rear fairing on mine, I might look at one as a replacement. Do actually use my backseat quite a lot though. To be honest, I'm interested in things that actually make it go better, rather than just look like it does. Smile

AFAIK, there wasn't a 'sport' version of the FX/FY so I reckon that's a 99/00 F (the front end deffo is, single headlight and black curvy ram air doobries) with an 01-onwards Sport arse. The frame design has stayed the same from 99 to date, so there's no real reason why the fairing off an 01-04 Sport wouldn't fit on.

The Sport began in 2001 when they started having fuel injected engines.

Interestingly, the only difference between the F and the Sport (apart from the cosmetic of the back end) is a lack of a centre stand, slightly different gearing (1 tooth up at the back) and a slightly different clutch. That's it. Laughing

It's a 180 rear. Smile
