Quoting issues

When i select a quote from another user, if quotes fine. But above, it doesn't say who the quote is from...

Am i missing something out, is it just one of those "no explanation" problems?

I just select text and then use the "quote" botton, nothing else.

You have to create the tag yourself.

[ quote="lalala" ]hello[ /quote ] would quote "lalala" as saying hello.

It's not a problem or a bug - it's just the way it's always been, you can't do anything about it, as the php code doesnt know where the quoted text has come from if you just paste it.

You can also click the https://www.bikechatforums.com/templates/standard/images/lang_english/icon_quote.gif button when you're reading through a thread and want to reply with a quote from someone's post in there. This then puts the "username" bit in for you and quotes the entire of their post, so just delete the excess bits.
