I'll be releasing the route later if anyone wants to follow it. HIGHLY recommended.

Honest, it is hard work but not so much that it detracts from the enjoyment.

Fan-fecking-tastic.

John-o-Groats next, who's in?

Remember it's not too far shy of 400 miles going by the shortest route possible - so trying to follow trails and getting between them is going to add a lot to the route.

Yeah, is almost double the distance off road but to be expected I guess.

How much of the route is actually off road rather than just joining up the trails?

Big Thumbs Up to the guy on the MT350 - that can't have been easy on a 160kg (dry) bike with 20-summat BHP!

That was a seriously good video, there should be an awesome rating, what do you use for filming your exploits?

Didn't I read a book about a bloke doing this in the 1970s? He got stuck near Wrotham.

edit, was it Ian Thompson?

Mate how do you think a 125 would cope with that trip. would take a little longer but from your video I think my XR125 could do it. Loved the video mate top marks!

Iv done a 50mile trip using byways and broads before and loved it! found standing on my pegs killed my legs/knees after a while!

Did you keep your knees bent and soft?

Yea it'd be no problem. There's 30 miles of roadwork between Surrey and Kent but besides that the lanes are plentyful.

yeah i kept my knees bent at all times so I could go with the movement of the road.

Iv just watched a few of your videos mate. I can truly relate to that one where you and your mate take 3 hours to do 1/4 of a mile! Iv got stuck a few times on my XR but Im quite lucky that the bike is light and i pretty much pick it up when needed!

Also i used to carry rope with me so i could use that if i got into some deep trouble!

Its such a nice feeling to see the road again after hours of hard off roading!

keep them coming mate, love your off road stuff!

Brilliant stuff Thumbs Up

I recognise some of those lanes - the Binstead Bog and the drop off halfway along Watery lane.

Can't wait to see the track log and am definitely interested in giving it a bash on the XT. The thought of spending 630 miles on the Gasser makes me cry.

Probably somewhere on www.bywaydatabase.com

I have to make a couple of changes to it, a closed lane and wotnot.

Actually I thought it would be brutal but it was entirely manageable although taxing. I would recommend five days but four is passable if you put your mind to it.
