BCF wallpapers. No, stay with me...

There's a fair number of really good photos kicking around (largely taken by Keith and G) - all they need is resizing, a BCF url stuck on them and to be floated out onto the world wide interweb. Viral marketing. Smile

This munges into a bigger idea about having BCF non-forum content but I'm not quite ready to go there yet.

Thoughts?

Would be a good idea, so why not. And surely they don't need resizing if they're going to be used for wallpapers as the higher the quality the better it looks. Thumbs Up

Some will need cropping to aid the composition of the photo or to make them a good wallpaper (I like 'dead space' where the icons go).

Look about right Yams.

Would work quite well I think if people were just left to submit pictures with the text already put on it, just need a sticky post somewhere and would seem logical to use the same font used on the t-shirts and stickers. Then have "Wallpapers" added to the links at the top of every page with it linking to a gallery type thing which has wallpapers added to it when people submit them (assuming they're okay enough etc to be used). Thoughts on this please people. Smile

No way. The shitey 3d effects, the gradient fills.... *shudders*

We agree what's going on them - font, logo, slogan, whatever - and one person takes responsibility for them. That's the only way you'll ever get consistency.

Then they go on a google-friendly page so people find them download them and later thing 'ooh I might check that forum'. Or something like that.

Pictures have to be taken entirely on their own merits - a good picture is a good picture, regardless of who or who's bike it is. Again... kinda down to someone to choose what goes and what doesn't as democracy will never work and Shaun'll submit his terrible 'fantastic photo'. Laughing

I'll do that if you want, unless someone else volunteers.

I would stick the text on in hemi head font and just keep it as an URL really.

Here is my first effort:

Is it me, or is that URL completly unreadable. Confused

Sort it out Mark! Wink

Well, I am at work and it was pretty obvious that I wasn't doing what I was supposed to be doing! Laughing
