So after some searching around for an undertray for the TLR, and the ludicrous prices they’re selling for. I found one formed in gloss black for £99 delivered. It was from Fast Bike Bits, unbeknown to me, the tray was coming from Powerbronze.

Out of the packet, it looked pretty good, the quality of plastic wasn’t bad.
The kit that came with it, was a little confusing. It contained, pine tree fixings, some M4 and M5 screws and nuts. Along with some cable ties and cable tidy tabs.
After some research on the work involved for various trays i understood that the original mudguard needed to be cut down, fair enough. This tray was sold as a tray to retain the existing light unit.

You can’t see how the tray fits up underneath the subframe until you have cut the mudguard down. So the first job was done, with no problems. With that done, i placed the tray underneath. Problem 1.

The ‘fins/tabs’ on the tray were not designed to fit around the luggage hooks. No biggy, i thought, shame i have to cut their product. So I went to work on it.
With the mudguard done and the tray now modified to suit the frame work, i could get the tray in place.
Problem 2...

In the ‘generic’ instructions of fitting, nowhere is it mentioned that the Suzuki light mounting cannot be used, but also that the kit contains no way of holding/fixing the light. Obviously without prior knowledge to this i am led to believe the write up, sounds easy peasy. If it had mentioned that I’d have to fashion myself a bracket, mod the existing (expensive) Suzuki mounting, cut down the tray and not forgetting the profile of the light cut out was on the wonk as well...I would have thought twice about buying it.

After a lot of stressing about in my garage, chopping and changing stuff, I finally got it to fit reasonably. But not without the final blow to my work. The tray’s overall dimensions, once fitted properly, were ever so slightly out on the one side. Resulting in a gap i can never fill, its not much but I know it’s there.

So I’ve called powerbronze and Fast Bike bits. The guys at FBB were cool with it. So I’ve emailed the details of my grievances to Powerbronze, asking for a full refund. I’m awaiting the decision now.

Thing is under the sales of goods act FBB sold it to you so they are the ones responsible for it and should be paying up, then it's up to them to sort Powerbronze out to get their money back not you.
