|
|
Hey all me again. I am planning a tyre change when I can save up a few pennies I don't know what to go for. My tyre tread is still good however the tyres themselves are appalling (tvs') I was considering either conti-go's or Avon AM26's. I don't know of many other tyre choices :/ so I'm mithering you guys! Anyone with experience of either or just an opinion I will be forever grateful (well at least for the time that the tyres are on) thanks guys

Usual answer: spend the money on passing your tests, get another bike. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

They won't let him take test with illegal tyres...and even if they are legal, I wouldn't trust shit tyres in the wet on the Mod 1 |
His tyres are legal and the same advice has been given to him by me - if he hurries up and passes his test, the tyres will still be legal and so it'll save him lots of £££s
And as for Module 1 on crap tyres...my CG had rubbish tyres and I passed perfectly first time. You probably put more strain on the tyres riding to work than you do on your mod 1! haha ____________________ Past Bikes: '97 CG125, '91 GPZ500S, '01 FZS600, '07 S/Triple, '99 ZX9R, '82 GP125, '83 GP100, '03 SV1000S, '98 ZX6R

They're probably the best choice for your tyre size, but I wouldn't bother replacing them until your TVS ones are borderline legal...which aint for ages yet being brutally honest ____________________ Past Bikes: '97 CG125, '91 GPZ500S, '01 FZS600, '07 S/Triple, '99 ZX9R, '82 GP125, '83 GP100, '03 SV1000S, '98 ZX6R
