Yeh, shame, but then again a 1.3 Fiesta is about the same for me Confused

Good on your insurance for going down for 3 points lol.

That is in nice condition. It does seem a bit strange to replace the rear brake hose with some Aeroquip and not the front though.

The Brembo master cylinder on the rear brake is standard as compared to the standard front Nissin master cylinder. This is the same setup as I have on my '01 R1,although I now have fitted a Brembo adjustable front master cylinder, which gives far better feel to heavy braking.

Have a look see at www.yamahar1.co.uk

Cheers, I thought it odd too, but who knows, old one could have been damaged or something?

I did have a look around and saw it was standard, was your front Brembo m/c from another bike, or did you have to buy it new?

I'm already on the R1 forum Thumbs Up do you use the same user name there?

Bought the Brembo front new for £125 including a spare lever.

PM sent about my user name on the other forum.

Adrian (Cracking) has a similar undertray on his R1 before he binned it at Donington last year

Had posted it earlier mate, but it was £1133 fc because I have to declare the claim as ongoing Sad

Cheers Fizzer, looks like you got a bargain, all the Brembo s tuff I saw was over £200 Sad

That looks a lot like R1-Devils profile pic ('99 bike with '98 nose cone) The undertray is similar, but different (my one is flat almost the whole way along, rather than fluted like the pictured one.

Also fitted my newly acquired stock screen, I think it looks much better than the near opaque black one it came with Thumbs Up

Can anyone help me out please, I'm after a PhotoShop of the undertray from the current white, to all black. Would really appreciate it, as I have a spray can of black paint and some spare time, and think it would look better all black Thumbs Up

I totally agree mate, it did look good, but it felt so cramped with no light coming through. I've still got the screen so no ciggy if I want to change Smile

No insurance, Bennett wouldn't quote, so looking to buy an Rxs or something to keep me going.

I've just had word that I now have a Titanium Akrapovic system Very Happy

Spur of the moment thing, apparently the Akra systems suit the 4XV, and even if not, I'm sure I can turn a profit on a fit Titanium system if I sell it Thumbs Up Yoshi isn't 100% going, going to wait on what the R1 guys say is the better system first.

i'd put money on the yoshi it looks like a endurance race setup where as teh asrka just looks like a conventional race pipe.

this thread is making me really miss my old trusty '99 R1, looks like you got a nice clean example there - only thing to note with these is if you are pinning it in 2nd or 3rd or uneven roads it tends to send the front into a semi-airborn spaz attack.

How do you mean endurance setup? Both have balance tubes crossing all 4 cylinders.

Cheers, been warned it's a bit wheelie happy Mr. Green doubt I'll be pinning it on a bumpy road, will be too scared!

If it's been Dyno Jetted to the other exhaust, I wouldn't even bother with the TI system.

You'll have to get the bike re dyno-jetted costing even more dosh, for what will be next to no gain in power. Even if it gets you another 5bhp (which it won't) you aren't going to need that on the road.

It might be a few kg's lighter, but again you really aren't going to notice that on the road.

I'd sell the exhaust and put the money towards the insurance to get the thing on the road!

they do ? the TI arka system to me looks like a straight forward ti system no balance tubes..... unless that is justa picture... and the yoshi is TI also no ?

i mean the yoshi system is porbaly just as expensive if not more than a arka . and if you want to arka TI it you need the FULL system not just downpipes as teh ARKA are designed to be used full system not mix match

it's the short wheelbase that made them so flighty, to be honest you get little warning when it decides to hoist the front (if riding quick), the 98 - 99 R1's genuinely have a mind of their own and do as they please.

What you think of it m8? I'm close to buying one for a track bike, done a wee bit more miles than yours but looks pretty clean.

Im not going to take track serious just want something a bit cheaper that i wont cry my eyes out if i bin it. The one i had a shot of was pretty smooth on power delivery, but compared to my KTM anything would feel smooth.
