I've got a fazer 2005. on ebay the only power commander for it is selling at 172£. there are others for different bikes at much cheaper prices. From what I've understood the PC3 are basically all the same, the only differences are the plugs and the maps inside. the maps are easily replaced with the use of a laptop... but the cables? can they be replaced? and if so where would I find the cables for a fz6 2005? Also, does anyone know if the plug for an R6 are the same of the fz6? same year 2005. thank you. ( I meant connectors ) ____________________ Triumph Tiger 800 2012

It's the connectors that are different. You can just cut the old ones off and put new ones on and it should work. That is assuming you get a PCIII for a bike with the same number of cylinders of course. ____________________ My Flickr |

I'd suggest that the one from the 2005 R6 is most likely to work if you put the correct connectors onto it. ____________________ My Flickr |

I thought the pc's were a piggyback ECU.
I.e altered signals from the ecu to adjust fuelling, timing etc.
So, surely if you then connected it up to a bike with a different make of ecu, or a different sensor then it'd scramble itself? I.e a different resistance input or output, a different voltage.
I'd be wary.
Specially given we're talking fried ECU and expensive PC if it goes wrong ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.
