Karma question.

I quoted a post that was already quoted, it asked me to trim:

Oh and by showing you the quotes, I lost even more Karma.

"Your have too much bad karma to post such a short message"

Also, Korn, there is a typo in that error message and there is no fullstop at the end.

Your karma rating isn't updated instantly, in some cases it can take up to a few minutes for a post to be processed depending on how busy the server is - you won't necassarily see your rating update right after making a post. Previewing a post will never alter your karma, only warn you if you are about to lose some.

Your karma has taken a beating recently because you've spent a lot of time posting in Fights & Flame Wars, something which is discouraged. The thing with the quotes was just a co-incidence.

Rather than just talking about the karma system in chat it'd be better some of it on here.

I reckon it would work better if you had a limited number of post ratings and post ratings to give each month, as it would mean more then.

Also would be useful (well for some) for it to say in your profile what the system makes of your spelling, as unless you're really good or bad you don't know what it making of your posts.

Would be useful if it is was said in the karma guide thread what the karma system dislikes (it's not mentioned that it doesn't like you posting too much in F&FW) and what problems will happen and what karma level you have to be at for it to happen.
