may have to do the clutch on my GSX 1100g this weekend.

sourcing friction plates at the moment.

some people say EBC are good, some say they're crap.

what do you think?

may go for genuine suzuki parts.

generally will i get away with just friction plates or should I change the whole lot - springs, spacers etc.

wont really know what I need until I take it apart tonight.

You can measure the free length of your springs to see if they are within tolerance.

Unlikely that they wont be to be honest, but worth a check to see if they are ok.

As for brands, i have used EBC clutch plates in the past, but a friend of mine had problems...

That's for a spring clutch think you'll find your bike has the "diaphragm" type one as used on Bandits and others so don't get confused when yours doesn't look like the how to guide one. There's a few more bits in it when you get the circlip off just make sure you keep them in the right order.

Camoto ???? never heard of them, pound to a pinch they are Chinese as in "we buy direct from the manufacturers".
Go for a known make or OE or you might regret it, EBC can be OK but seen where some people don't rate them in the oil cooled Suzukis as they they haven't that lasted long. I've done a Blackbird clutch with EBC and they were fine in that.

seller said 'they are made in china, taiwan or japan - not sure where - we sell loads of them and have never had any complaints. if there are any problems we will refund or replace'.

dunno how succesfull i would be getting my money back when \ if they failed 2 months down the line - but they have 10000 positive feedbacks - tho i cant see for which items these feedbacks were for

I've been using EBC clutch plates on various bikes since 2007. I can't recall ever having a problem. I would suggest, however, that you price up an original set and see what the cost difference is. If the genuine ones are similar in price then stick genuine ones in. Thumbs Up

So they say "we buy direct from the manufacturer" but we don't know which country they're made in Rolling Eyes
