Hi all

I'm thinking of going to this, however can only get tickets on the day at the sales office. If I venture from the South Coast, do you think they will sell out?

Is it usually a sell out? I'm thinking of the Saturday 16th.

Nah you'll be fine mate. It won't sell out.

Got there about 11:30 today and left about half 4. Bloody knackered.

What did I buy for myself? A back protector - at about the price I could have got one delivered to my door for, but the good thing about going to the show is I can try it on, make sure it's right size yada yada

Disappointing that it didn't turn out so well for wifey. A whole day of traipsing around and all we managed to get her was a lid and some boots. She must have tried on every textile suit in the show with no joy and even switching to leather, it was only a Dainese suit that was anywhere near fitting her snug and it wasn't a good enough fit to fork out over £500 for Sad

Still, she did manage to buy an Arai lid that's better than my Shoei and got a pair of boots that are more expensive than mine Rolling Eyes I guess that'll give me a good excuse to buy some new and improved gear now....

Didn't really get to see any of the show as it was flat out shopping instead, but I don't think I'll go again next year Sad

Didn't get to see any of the Revo show Sad I did get to briefly meet John McGuinness but only insofar as saying a few words. The bike stands looked ok but I literally dashed around the Triumph stand, then went to Ducati and sat on the Diavel and that was my lot. I really wanted to get over to Honda to see what their new commuter bikes were like but didn't manage it in the time we had Sad

There all day from 10.30. Well laid out show, talks and interviews spread around the show rather than just crammed onto one stage. If going dont miss the guy who rode from Aus on a postie bike, he is a bit nervous but his enthusiasm is contagious.

Could have picked up a Shoei Qwest for £220, mate bought a Caberg flip for £120.

Plenty of space between stands so not a squeeze to get by.

Free bike parking £2 to leave lid £1 to leave jacket, money going to a riders charity.

Only downside is the signposting to the Excel is crap, follow the signs until you see signs Excel (west), i.e under the underpass not turn off onto a slip road. Went round that a couple of times, I was not alone...

Finally today there was a speed trap near the site about 3/4 mile past Tesco, it was quite noticeable but they may get sneakier.

I'm heading over today, not got a shopping list this year so I'm going to window shop for dream bikes instead.

If the guy on the postie bike is there, I'm going to hunt him out and say hi. His thread on ADV was pretty epic!

Really?? I saw the old version for £250 and I got the new bloodflow version (£369 online) today for £280 with a free visor... that was after going to every stall that sold it and playing them off against each other!

Great to get to try some helmets on for once, though... I was all about the XR-1100 before I got there, but it squashed my cheeks into my face. For some reason the Qwest is a far better fit.

Quite a good day yesterday, lots to see, and it was very busy!

The Revo show was a bit pants tbh. And what is it with 6footers wanting to stand in front of little people!

After last year it was a bit of a disappointment for me. All the stalls (with the exception of the helmets which I can't justify at the moment Sad ) seemed to be about the same as normal prices and the show was a bit pants too.

Ah well...will go again in a couple of years maybe.

I went for the last day, spent the whole day photographing and sitting on bikes I will never be able to afford D:

Also whoever went around the Ducati stand rearranging all the tank decals on the display bikes to spell "U A DIC" made me giggle.

Quite liked the Revo show, could tell how seriously the riders took it in the races. Few of them even crashed much to the amusement of the huge crowd.

Was actually star struck when i saw James Whitham (childhood hero) doing his talk on one of the stages.
