why do you sports bike lot always put your lids on your seat rather than hang them from a mirror? Far more chance of dropping your lid that way. And why do you use parking lots? Rather park anywhere else

Off roader, I wish. Scotland has zero green lanes. Nearest I have gotten so far is occasionally nipping accross the local grassland footpaths early in the mornings before the head shakers and finger waggers are out and about

Regarding the helmet hanging...message received and understood. Lesson learned

Still, the tyre had done two Bol d'Or trips to the Paul Ricard circuit and three Assen WSB rides plus countless rides around the South-East of the UK.Some might say it still has a few miles to go,but it is a bit squared off and it was struggling to go around low speed bends.

If you need to fix a tyre, may I rather suggest plugs? They work far better than nails. Tyres on a bike are not shoes on a horse you know Razz

Adventure bike riders from around Europe flock to Scotland so there must be a few gravel roads at least.

Wish they would share then. I would love to do some trail riding ( not going round and round a muddy field)

Can't you find them on a normal road map, gps or google earth? That is how I plot my routes. We also have a google earth layer called tracks4africa which shows bridges, gates, interesting features and views etc

Public Rights of Way are totally differant in Scotland to those in England and Wales. In Scotland there are 'Permissive Routes',but these are not shown on any maps.Local knowledge is best.

Sounds like you live in the third world Laughing. Surely you can see them on google earth? I will have a look tmw and plot a track through the highlands. Why don't you have a google earth layer like T4A that comes standard with google earth? It is aimed at the adv bikers, 4x4 crowd, hikers and campers. Its free. But if you pay you can add stuff to it.should be under galleries in google earth.

Was this taken in Winterbourne Abbas in Dorset? The first picture looks exactly like it.

Also, an interesting new use for the rack!

It's not a rack, its a stunt bar, so its designed to stop the bike from flipping. Also doubles as a space saving device Cool

Ah I see - Perhaps all bikes should have these then bike parking would be solved forever. Also - it would look quite surreal seeing 10 bikes all perched on the rear end in ASDA carpark.
