Got my bike insured 3 days ago, and i've gotten a puncture already. Mad Tiniest little nail, or some kind of tack caused it. Couldn't get it repaired cause it was on the edge.

What's the law on riding to the garage with a punctured tyre. Waiting on the tyre to be delivered and then i'm going their tomorrow to have it fitted. I can pump it up, and the air does go out pretty slowly. The garage is only about a half a mile or so.

Can i ride it, or should i walk it? If so, should i walk it along the pavement, or along the edge of the road?

Yep. Its cost me £80 with fitting on a rear Michellin Sporty, so almost £100, and i'm currently out of work, so it's even more of a pain. Mine weren't too old.

I'm guessing that happened to you then. Neutral

My tiny bike wheel, and it manages to catch the smallest pin on the road... I hope it's not going to be a common occurrence.

Get some slime, protect your investment. Some vote against its use. I'm a fan and wouldn't be without it after suffering the same fate as you.

Or you can buy Holts Tyre Weld from either Asda/Tesco between £4/5 or somewhere similar because it will seal and fully re-inflate the tyre from flat, ride it for a few miles then add a bit more air to correct pressure and then that's it fixed. You can ride it as normal until it wears down until you need to replace it!

I'm sure it could be repaired if it's only such a tiny hole.
They generally spin the yarn about not being able to repair it, so that you might buy a new tyre, or won't sue them if it goes flat later.

For a small hole consider slime, or look at some of the DIY options that don't even require tyre removal.

I wouldn't put it past some of them doggone. They'll probably fix up my old tyre and stick it on ebay. Smile I've had them order the tyre for me now, so it's a bit late. If it was repairable, i'll just have to learn from my mistake.

Yeah, i didn't even realise i had it, until someone pointed out the tyre looked a bit flat.
