I have a slight issue, my mirrors on my 125 are really cheap so every few month I have to take it off, use hair dryer to loosen the glue between the mirror and the mirror so can take the mirror off without cracking or damaging.

after this i can get access to the bolt on the mirror mount and tighten it up, long story short, what type of glue or adhesive should I use to glue it back in that is not super strong such as super glue and not very weak.

I am looking for the name so can buy it from Ebay

Thanks for your help

Is it the glass or the bolt you want to glue?

Decent glue is going to cost close to a fiver and you can buy new mirrors for £10 - £15. It's worth spending the extra.

I agree but think glue is better considering most £15 ones are also cheap quality and will break soon

I just don't know what type I should buy

Perhaps spend a fraction more then? I mean if the ones you've got are cheap enough to need repair work every few months, surely it's worth spending a little on buying a decent pair?

Superglue is no friend of glass anyway so definitely avoid that.

Personally I'd use a hot glue gun or something like that.

Use silicone glue. Clean both surfaces thoroughly and give it plenty of time to cure. If you need to get the mirror back off you can use dental floss to cut through it. Thumbs Up

As above - use some thread lock and/or anti vibe washer too.

I did not visit the forum for a while so just went ahead and bought it .

I bought the below from ebay

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111022155619?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

It seems to work fine, also agree maybe if it became loose again will need to get a self locking nut

Many thanks for the posts
