I doubt you'll kill the 016's on one novice trackday TBH. You'll make sure you have no chicken strips though.
Scrubs can be a funny thing. I'd use them if I really really needed new tyres, but they can be cooked by too many heat cycles. I'd stick with the devil you know for a while. Seems a bit strange to swap one sports tyre for another sports tyre that has been through more heat cycles... If you were running touring Avons or something I could understand but the BT016 pro is well regarded.
Stick with what you've got is my advice. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

On the trackday you will be using almost exclusively those parts of the tyre you do not use on the road, so you are better off using your road tyres instead of scrubs which will be partly rogered already in the area you want to use.
Stick with the ones you have on there now, melt the sides and you get the added bonus of looking like a road hero for the rest of the tyres life on the road! ____________________ The purpose of life is to fight maturity. |

Cool, come say hello. Will be about if you need a hand with anything! I'll be on a white zx6r j model #101 and my mate is riding my blue R6 with #118 on it.
Hopefully going to be there early enough to grab a spot in the garages. ____________________ Thundersport Pre-National Sport 600 2014 #92
