That's 30 less to catch people speeding and pulling fourth gear wheelies. The short sighted fools. Cool

Not been for a few years. Used to be pretty good, one panda car would rock up for 10 minutes then go somewhere else.

Surely if you are pulling a fourth gear wheelie, the last of your worries is getting pulled over. They wouldn't be able to catch you on a bike capable of that?

Some of them didnt have white hats.

And Ian, it wasnt a CCTV van, but a transit connect and a BMW traffic car. The bird got out of the transit and queued up in the cafe for a burger and coke!!!

I was there that night on my R1.
I counted at least 10 cars and 10 bikes. Made me quite paranoid and what do you expect when people take the piss so much in there cars, quads and bikes fooling around and getting pissed. It will end up getting closed because of a small minority and no one will bother making an effort of stopping it when it does get shutdown like the mallory park recent court case.

I went there with a mate, as he wanted to show me how Ace Cafe on a Friday night. Has gone for a few years and always a good atmosphere. He said he probably wouldn't go again.

It was like Rykas on a Sunday morning, look at bikes, leave. Lots of nice bikes, but no atmosphere.

Just looked that up.

For fuck sake, why can't courts deal with real criminals... at least the people are on a track, not the road. Christ Rolling Eyes

Hmmmm? sounds like history repeating itself Sad

I fondly remember when all the bikes used to meet at Chelsea Bridge Smile .
That was until the hateful coppers made it uncomfortable for anyone to stop there.
They (coppers) started turning up in large numbers and stopping every bike for any reason Sad
Slowly all the bikes stopped going there and the coppers had got what they wanted Evil or Very Mad

How strange. I seem to remember it was that a large amount of expensive housing (The Bridge 334 Queenstown Road for example) was built beside Chelsea bridge and the residents got pissed off with Motorcyclists with Race cans running up and down Queenstown road until 2-3am so complained to both the Police and council.

Strange how people only remember what they want to remember isn't it.

I've long been an advocate of quiet exhausts so people don't notice you just like Motad who have been slated on here for them by the people who want to be seen and heard by revving their engines and shouting here I am, here I am, here I am.

You have a VERY LondonBikers view of what happened, you a member by any chance?

No I`m not a LondonBiker member by any chance.

I remember never being there after midnight as 99% of the bikes had drifted away by then (even in the summer).
I seem to remember that most? people bought burgers from the van a stood and watched what came rolling in and had a chat.

Most of the speed I witnessed was on it`s way to Heston services as the last one there had to buy the teas Shifty .

Yes there were a few idiots doing wheelies and with bikes with mega-loud pipes for no real reason.
However they were in a minority and in my opinion the coppers response was hugely excessive.

In all the times I went to Chelsea Bridge , I can honestly say I never saw or heard a bottle being thrown or any fights break out.
Every time I went to Chelsea bridge it was a peaceful affair.

Driving anti-socially?

What the fuck does that actually mean? My wild guess is that if you piss off some rich business owner the state is going to come after you. Don't be loud, don't ride fast, and don't you dare ever, ever enjoy yourself, oh God no.

Thank you Aslam Choudry. Community cohesion my arse-just leave people alone to their own business for God's sake.

What harm could motorcyclists possibly do anyway? That entire area is absolutely teeming with speed cameras.

This kind of thing reminds me of a time last year when I was round a friends house at like 9 pm, and they had some music playing on some very small speakers. The neighbours had been giving them grief about it before- and had been quite rude about the whole thing, I guess they felt brave because only girls live in the house. He wasn't half surprised when a 6ft6 bloke opened the door...

All of this anti-social behaviour bollocks is just a smokescreen for "we don't like what you do with your own property, so we're going to involve the state, and force you to live the same way we do." Noise pollution? if you stop arguing with your brat in your garden every time I go outside to read a book, I won't rev my bike every time I go past your house, dickheads!

I apologies for the totally ridiculous tangent this post has headed towards.

If I had two dozen or more motorcycles screaming up and down outside my house in the late evening keeping my kids awake and upsetting my pets whilst showing off to each other with their wicked loud cans and 100-yd wheelies - I would sure as hell regard that as anti-social.

Find an unpopulated area and there won't be anyone to complain.

That's not how I remember it at all. I seem to recall drag races and wheelies across the bridge, general stupidity in Battersea park, topped off with people surfing tea trays behind bikes in Heston Services car park... All from first hand experience.

Yes definitely. My RD had a Micron where the baffles had fallen out and so did many others.

Squires cafe moved out of Sherburn because it couldn't expand anymore.

I'm sure that caused a loss in revenue for the other pubs, chip shops, etc. in the village. All because of the noisy bikers gathering twice a week.

went to the Ace on Friday - it was okay but none of the usual stuff with the Ped boys stealing the show with their wheelies. Sad

There also has been recently a guy (or sometimes 2) who bring their cars down and put on the tunes. they have fabulous speakers and can hook their cars up together to make it even better (read louder!)

used to be fantastic till this prick threw a bottle at the police.

The police hardly EVER came down to bike night so far as I can remember.
They might have passed through in the evening once or twice but otherwise I never saw any trouble.

They should move Ace Cafe to the Brent Cross overflow car parks, lots of space and nothing residential around

are people really being serious about this? Angry at the police for cracking down on the Ace?

Ive been there countless times where people have wheelied up and down, done burnouts, blocked the road. People drifting round the mini roundabout, causing untold misery to the royal mail lorries trying to get through as well as residents using the buses round the area.

Ive seen busses being set open with the emergency stop cord being pulled and surrounding the bus with 100+ people. The fact that the place is open to this day is a miracle. If i lived nearby I certainly wouldnt be happy.

Why would you buy a house next to the ace if you didn't like what was going on there? It's like buying a house next to castle combe and complaining you can hear cars driving about... duh.

Or it could be that it was closed between 1969-1997 and people purchased their houses in the time it was closed.

Children who know nothing should be seen and not heard.
