we were hired to do a secret session with Skid Row and Ugly Kid Joe
was a limited set as they were playing another gig later tonight
but I must say considering we were in a pub with no room we pulled off a decent night

first up were Skid Row (despite Mr pink Jnr's disapproval ) were great

they were followed by Ugly Kid Joe doing a completely acoustic set (and using my guitar half way through)
were even better, I love my job esp on a wet Mon night when I can sit in a pub and film this

excuse the feedback
we had zero sound check time and not even told what was required mike wise until the band went on stage and told us what they required so had no setup time to sort out issues

Skid Row

Ugly Kid Joe

I even had UKJ use my acoustic guitar on "Cats in the cradle"

Just watched the session - very cool. Always like UKJ, not sure why they weren't bigger.

That's ok, I know a bloke who can remove the ghey from your guitar for £20.

Would skid row and ugly kid joe really improve your resume? Razz

TBH I'd rather have bands like this than "Some acts" that hire us for gigs
I use the word Act very loosely Laughing

UKJ were one of my favourite bands back in the early 90s. I even loved the Motel California album which most fans didn't.

They still occupy a chunk of my iPod drive.

Still saying that was not Skid Row. Skid Row died when Seb left.

Still a great fun gig to be part of I bet. Fair play to you.

Skid Row seem to have improved Wink so iguess it always was Seb's fault.

Last saw them in about '90 supporting Crue. They were so shit, my mate had bought a SR t-shirt as we went in, turned around half way through the set to the lads behind who seemed to be enjoying it and gave it to them rather than ever wear it Laughing

As for UKJ, always superb, fun and underrated; Cat's in the Cradle was the song that really got to me when my Dad died and it still chokes me up a bit now, 20 years later.

Thanks for posting, Oldpink.
