Hi there,

I picked up my new GSXR600K4 last week and have finally gotten some nice pics of her after going for a ride out to Reefton Spur in Victoria, AUS.

(EDIT: Sorry images are gone, lost the backup.)

She is completely standard, save for the oggy knobs and carbon fibre tank protector.

My previous bike was a CBR250RR, which I had for 4 years. I did superbikeschool.com.au level 1 and 2 on Sandown in Melbourne, another safety course on Sandown, plus 2 Phillip Island ride days. The last time I was there I carved up litre bikes on my 250, mind you I was in the slow group but still :)

And how is the GSX? In one word, beautiful. The clutch requires a strong hand, especially in those early Ks when constant speed is to be avoided.... changing gears all the time is a bit of a pain, but what can you do when you live in the city. I will add some hand strengthening exercises in the gym, that should do the trick --- or just ride more often! :)

(EDIT: Sorry images are gone, lost the backup.)

Other than that - I absolutely loves how she pulls from the low revs. I think the 600 power is just right for me... around town it keeps things just sedate enough not to get into too much trouble, but for the few times when I've taken it past 10k there's a kick there you'd better be prepared for --- or it's a bit like you're hit from behind by a truck!

Now, for the pics - the ones in this post are just teasers, whereas the following URL are all high resolution, high quality and it probably wouldn't hurt if you were to view them on a 1600x1200 screen (my big one is a 22" Philips with 1792x1344...!) - or just scroll around a bit. Don't use browser resizing, or at least, please make sure to zoom in to see all the detail.

(EDIT: Sorry images are gone, lost the backup.)

That is absolutely gorgeous.

Are you a professional photographer or something? Smile

Thanks! No, not a pro - but my good old Nikon 990 makes it easy, Australian surroundings do the rest Smile
To be fair I have done a lot of digital shooting and am slowly working out what's ok and what's not. I'd love one of the D-SLRs one day, but, well - other things got in the way, didn't it! Very Happy
