I'll be getting hammered and playing about on djay2 with music that makes me happy, hopeful, sad, remorseful, jealous, anxious, love, hate, dance, sorrowful and excited. It's usually a time for painful introspection for me, I feel completely disconnected from the happy people on NYE and tend to remember family and friends that have died and lots of other harsh stuff besides. I'm an optimistic bloke, but this time of year, reality is on top.

Me and the MRS are going to get a chinky and hire a Sky movie as they have been so kind as to give sky viewers a free rental over the xmas period

If a friend was having a house party I would go there but I dont fancy paying stupid amounts to be forced to have fun and count down with people I dont know.

First time I drove to Austria I kept seeing signs for Ausfahrt, and remember thinking "fooking hell, Ausfahrt must be massive!"

Just found out that there are 3 bands playing at a nearby venue I wouldn't mind seeing, but sold out. So the place will be rammed out, squashed like sardines. Oh well, quiet night in then. But that's ok, more money saved for biking shenanigans next year Very Happy

Off out, local pub - five ponds to get in and not over-ticketed to hell to the point you can't get to the bar. Drinks aren't hellish expensive either.

It's a shit pub but as far as nye goes that's not a bad result, and wifey will enjoy herself whilst I have a few beers with mates. That'll do

No fucking way. If my friend wants me to go over to her house and drink (or vice versa) then fine but I'm not paying to get into any bars nor being crammed into one that isn't charging cover.

I think I'll be drinking the whole bottle of champagne myself, going on a werewolf rampage in Skyrim while eating a pizza, then taking a sleeping pill/keeling over before midnight and hoping I don't wake up again in the morning.

That's still a great NYE celebration Laughing Thumbs Up .

I've been dragged out with a bunch of mates as we don't see as much of eachother as we used too. NYE has become a get-together of old mates, so for me it's worth the price tag that comes along with it. I really wouldn't mind staying in either playing Skyrim, and tbh I'm jealous.
