idiotically you either have to go into a DVLA office (not convinient as car stolen and bike off the road) or phone them for the form (they never answer the phone - "high call volume) and for some reason you can't just download it Sad

Does anyone have a copy they may have scanned or know where I could get hold of one of these as I'd like my £200 reminaing car tax back

any help appreciated

YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

Application without a tax disc

Fill in a V33 ‘Application for a refund of vehicle tax when the tax disc is missing’. Send the form to Refund Section, DVLA, Swansea SA99 1AL.

The V33 form is only available by phoning DVLA Customer Enquiries on 0300 790 6802 or from a DVLA local office.

Very helpful of them.

A lot of post offices have a rack of DVLA forms. I bet that's one that's in there.

I received one and scanned. It is attached. You can use it only if you attach cover letter with explanation like you made a mistake on the original, hence using the copy of it.

Download it here https://www.sendspace.com/file/paor5s

True though. A cheque for 165 ponds dropped through my door yesterday for a car I part-exed at the end of October. They credited me November back in full, so (in a move I wouldn't expect from the taxman) they appear to calculate it from the transfer date you put on the form, not the day they write the cheque.

Anyways, the system appears to work.

Clearly a mistake, the bailiffs will be over shortly to collect the over payment Laughing
