Hi, I'm after some better waterproofs for next summer to go over my leathers, to use on the road and the track. Currently I have what appear to be and oversized cagoule and trousers which aren't motorcycle specific. They've never let water in, but do flap about in certain areas (bottom of legs, arms) but are really tight in others (groin, across back), and are a right pain to put on and take off.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I do trackdays in the rain on wets, so need something where I can be flexible, and where the trousers come with holes for knee sliders to poke through.

I'll get a set for the road and a set for the track if I need to, but would ideally like one set that would work well on both.

Thumbs Up

Most racers I know tend to MTFU, forget about any form of waterproofs and just get wet on the basis that they'll dry out again later.

In my personal experience, any item of clothing sold for motorcycles that claims to be waterproof is not.

You can get one of those rubber gimpy tops but they're gay as fuck and a pain in the arse to put on.

I bought a one piece oversuit for the road from HG and then crashed in it the first time out and ruined it. Rolling Eyes

Ride did a review of two piece over suits earlier this year. You might be able to find it online somewhere.
I presently use a pair of Aldi cycling waterproof trousers. They cost £9 and seem a bit thin making me think that they won't last many years, but so far they haven't let any water in yet, have velcro to secure up the lower leg, and are cut for cycling so "fit" when sitting on the bike. They're even breathable, and definitely condense less on the inside than my old rukka thick plastic and duct tape trousers.
They also have lots of reflective stuff on them.
No holes for knee sliders.

I emailed MSV and they said that an all in one suit like the Richa suit should be fine as long as check with scrutineering before the day starts.
