Progress of me 636...

Not been on here properly in a while, still sorting out things after moving home!

Anyway, as you may remember i got knocked off filtering on the way to work. Insurance wont pay out, aparently its my fault because i filtered. So im repairing my little B1h myself!.

I got my zx6r on finance in Januray. Here it is in the sunshine:

I was planning a few things such as the green sidelights (got) green, "angle eye" lights, white bulbs, nicer indicators and rimtape. Never got round to it as on the 29th of Febuary i went in the back of a nice big white LDV:

After finding out insurance is a waste of time, ive started repairing it myself.

My girlfriend got me front and both side fairings for my birthday, which was nice!

Using my old screen for time being whilst i buy more important bits such as new left side rearset (in the post). Also as you can see one side of my headlight has exploded, so new headlight when i sorce a cheapish one!

Yesterday instead of working i connected my indicators i brought back in febuary and finished the rim tape i started! So currently she looks like this:

Still need to get fairing infills, air scoop, grill, headlight, screen and front fender.

Total cost so far: £490 ish

Crashing is expensive

Getting there. Just been searching around for an air scoop and clock surrounds after some muppet took out the wife on Monday, local bike shop wanted £55 for the clock surround and about £85 for the air scoop (naturally both brand new from Kwak) which I didnt think was to bad. Probably very hard to find second hand as most get damaged in an accident!

We maybe able to help out with the headlight, as it happens we have a mint one laying around...if the offer is right and will be getting a BRAND new one if the offer is better I wont pretend to be cheap because we're hoping to get enough for it as possible...

Aye the headlights in "new" condition go for £100 give or take.

I assume you got the fairings second hand ?

The indys you have, they look like a set I got from the States. I couldn't get them to fit over the hole are yours the same ?

Pics came out really well, I love the ones you got of the RSV crashing I managed to miss every crash on Friday and there was loads of them!

So i was reminiscing about the bikes ive had and came across my old thread and realised i never finished it off

So, ive got a few pics remaining and this is roughly where it left off;

Whilst it was in my workshop at well..work, my old manager managed to bring the forks down on the combi forklift down on to the rear of my bike sitting in one of the unused isles.

Coincidently, he was sacked the same week so he never paid for the extra damage.

I bought a used rear fairing from ebay and sold the damaged one for the same price anyway so it didnt matter in the end. eBay is a funny thing.

I bought all the little bits and pieces i needed to get the job done. A new rear tyre and fork seals where also replaced and it was put back together.

I bought a used headlight off of ebay but after a week of using it this happened;

I miss her.

I sold her and the buyer shipped it off to the Netherlands never to be seen again.

I then had an 99 R1 and a blue b1h, but id still be tempted by another green b1h at the right price
