basically i bought the bike about a month ago and i am not happy with the back tyre. It seems square to me and is not filling me with confidence when i lean in a corner as i feel i need to lean further and then it suddenly drops and i get a bit of a shock.

So basically, would you change it or am i being dramatic and need to MTFU?

It is rather square, and you'd notice a massive difference with a new one on the rear.

Id change it. It will feel awful to ride like that.

The lean wont be gradual. It will, as you say, 'fall' off the edge of the flat part of the tyre.

The sides also seem to have worn rather flat also!

Ride around corners more. I've definitely seen worse.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I'd replace it. How can you enjoy riding with that on there? For me, tyres and brakes on a bike I don't mess about with, if it needs doing I get it done.

The fact that you say yourself that it's not filling you with confidence and gives you a bit of a shock as it drops off those edges should tell you all you need to know.

Good grief! That's barely worn in Wink
If you do renew it are you going to hang onto it and offer it to poor hard-up peeps on here?

I would ride it, but a new one would probably feel better.

Probably?! You are joking, right?

I'd ride on it if I was skint. But if the OP can afford to replace it, I don't think there's anything to discuss here.

I'd replace it.. It'd annoy the fuck out of me and it's not like can't keep it as a spare if you decide the new tyre isn't a much improvement (it will be).

Do a huge burnout, then buy a new tyre.

I've ridden on far worse, but if its really not inspiring confidence, I'd go with the majority and replace.
